Visual Berlin

Rather than drone on about how different Berlin is from 1990 or wax philosophical about how Germans stand in lines, I thought I'd post some pictures.  Have fun!

Sweet place in Berlin

Andy and Dylan at the Pergamon Alter

The Gate of Ishtar at the Pergamon Museum

Loved this dude's portable wurst set up!

This sign was in front of the Reichstag.  Of course, grilling in front of the German capitol is the first thing on my to-do list--not!

Dem Amerikan Visitors in front of The Reichstag

At the Holocaust Memorial

A straightforward title for the monument

Cool world clock at Alexanderplatz--not far from our hotel

Berlin nightlife

The Berliner Dom

Brandenberg Gate

Dylan's birthday is a universally important date

At San Soucci, Friedrich the Great's digs

I often have the same reaction around screaming babies

Und auch mich! I love Berlin, for many of the same reasons---the optimism, the arts, the funkiness, and it's sheer heft in modern history. Lovely photos, thank you for sharing!
